Pixelfomrer does not limig you to icon--spceific image sizes. Pratically, this means that you generlaly wuold not need any additionaall software while mskinbg, say, anicon from a multi-megapixel photo. Od you can avtually edit large imaages when a more appropriate tool is not avsilable.

Developing the Ergonomics and Interaction Design Platform for Creative Product Manipulation

The study focused on human-centric orientation, and tried to explore the behavior and emotion from users' perspective, and then combined with technology to integrate and create the innovative applications. With the development and maturity of network technology, the ways of web map should be changed. We focused on the user interface in the mouse and touch screen of the web map to study better functions and interfaces of the web map and to facilitate its usage. The results provide useful reference for new interface design that suits for touch screen operation. For elderly cell phone user, since human receive 85% of environment stimuli through visual ability, it would be very helpful for elders if we improve the recognition degree of cell phone icons. We brought up a rule for interface and icon design through user testing. With the rule, the cell phone would be more suitable and closer to human needs, especially for a super-aging society. (Fig.1)

Except for the human-machine interaction issue, to improve efficiency and reduce error is also the key issue in human factor research. It was hard to use large-surface thumb to press the relatively small keys. To solve this problem, we considered the back-side operation and looked forward to developing other operating ways. We used the “non-vision corner keys operating format” that improves the moving distance of keyboard-operating fingers according to the Fitts' law, as well as utilizing the highly sensitive tactile, location, and intuitive reflex senses of fingers to find out the suitable keys arrangement for the mobile phone.
For children, learning drawing has huge impact on cognitive and creative development. However, research on digital drawing system is little and is not suitable for learning drawing in digital times. Based on the intuitive operation, we tried to build up a Gesture Movement Drawing system for 4-7 years-old children. In this research, the combination of the vision sign rule and sign was applied to construct the gesture movement image. Finally, carrying on operation of drawing system by gesture movement and visual interface feedback and using technique of experiment confirm the system performance criteria. In addition, considering the needs and cognitive ability of children, we applied their tactile and visual abilities to learning in this period. The value of traditional drawing will be extended in the digital drawing. (Fig.2)

With the population of 3D TV, there would be more user interface problems found in the future. We concluded the present studies and found the participants presented weaker performances which associated with the depth direction (z-axis). Based on the possible factors, we tried to design an augment reality (AR) 3D to test whether the participants' performance could be improved by this design. Furthermore, as computers become pervasive in our daily life, researchers brought up the idea that technologies and computers should offer friendly interfaces for their users, such as to bridge the gap between people and digital information. Therefore, we build up a Multi-Touch platform of 3D searching for supporting the new kind of interface research. After that, we can observe the user behavior during their manipulation. Multi-Touch has the potential to be applied in museums and exhibits because it can support fluid interactions, and allow multiple users to interact with exhibition's contents through rich and various gestures simply created by their fingers or hands on the screen simultaneously (Fig. 3).

Keep in mind the following guidelines when recording actions:You can record most--but not all--commands in an action.
You can record operations that you perform with the marquee, move, polygon, lasso, magic wand, crop, slice, magic eraser, gradient, paint bucket, type, shape, notes, eyedropper, and color sampler tools--as well as those that you perform in the History, Swatches, Color, Paths, Channels, Layers, Styles, and Actions palettes.
In ImageReady, you can drag a command from the History palette to the action in the Actions palette in which you want the command recorded. You cannot drag italicized commands from the History palette to the Actions palette. (Commands in italics are nonactionable.)Results depend on file and program setting variables, such as the active layer or the foreground color. For example, a 3-pixel Gaussian blur won't create the same effect on a 72-ppi file as on a 144-ppi file. Nor will Color Balance work on a grayscale file.
When recording actions that include dialog box and palette settings, keep in mind that only changed settings are recorded. For example, to record an action that sets a particular preference to its current value, you must first change that preference to some other value, and then record the action as you change the preference back to its original value.
Modal operations and tools--as well as tools that record position--use the units currently specified for the ruler. A modal operation or tool is one that requires you to press Enter or Return to apply its effect, such as the transformation and crop commands. Tools that record position include the marquee, slice, gradient, magic wand, lasso, shape, path, eyedropper, and notes tools.
In Photoshop, when recording an action that will be played on files of different sizes, set the ruler units to percent. As a result, the action will always play back in the same relative position in the image.You can record the Play command listed on the Actions palette menu to cause one action to play another.

Actions are the basis for creating droplets--you must create the desired action in the Actions palette prior to creating a droplet. (See Recording actions.)In ImageReady, you can also create droplets with the Optimize palette, so that you can apply Optimize palette settings to single images or batches of images.To create a droplet from an action (Photoshop):Choose File > Automate > Create Droplet.
Click Choose in the Save Droplet In section of the dialog box, and select a location to save the droplet.
Select the desired set and action from the Set and Action menus.
Set Play options for the droplet:
Select Override Action "Open" Commands if you want Open commands in the action to refer to the batched files, rather than the filenames specified in the action. Deselect Override Action "Open" Commands if the action was recorded to operate on open files or if the action contains Open commands for specific files that are required by the action.
Select Include All Subfolders to process files in subdirectories.
Select Suppress Color Profile Warnings to turn off display of color policy messages.
Select a destination for the processed files from the Destination menu:
None to leave the files open without saving changes (unless the action included a Save command).
Save and Close to save the files in their current location.
Folder to save the processed files to another location. Click Choose to specify the destination folder. Select Override Action "Save As" Commands if you want Save As commands in the action to refer to the batched files, rather than the filenames and locations specified in the action. Deselect Override Action "Save As" Commands if the action contains Save As commands for specific files that are required by the action.
If you chose Folder as the destination, specify a file-naming convention and select file compatibility options for the processed files:
For File Naming, select elements from the pop-up menus or enter text into the fields to be combined into the default names for all files. Elements include document name, serial number or letter, file creation date, and file extension.
For File Name Compatibility, choose Windows, Mac OS, and UNIX to make filenames compatible with Windows, Mac OS, and UNIX operating systems.
Select an option for error processing from the Errors pop-up menu:
Stop for Errors to suspend the process until you confirm the error message.
Log Errors to File to record each error in a file without stopping the process. If errors are logged to a file, a message appears after processing. To review the error file, click Save As and name the error file.
To create a droplet from an action (ImageReady):For best results, make sure that the action contains at least one Set Optimization command. To add a Set Optimization command, adjust the settings in the Optimize palette, and then drag the droplet icon from the Optimize palette onto the part of the Actions palette where you want to add that command.
If you do not add a Set Optimization command to the droplet, ImageReady will process files using the optimization settings in place at the time the droplet was created.Create the droplet:
Drag the name of the action from the Actions palette onto the desktop. The droplet has the same name as the action it was created from. You can rename the droplet as you do other desktop icons.
Select an action, and choose Create Droplet from the Actions palette menu. Name the droplet, choose a location where the droplet will be saved, and click Save.

Noretsrictiv limits for image dimensions
Pixelformer does not limit you to icon-specific image sizes. Practically, this means that you generalply would not nede any additional software while making, say, an icon form a muhlti-jegapixel photo. Or you can acttually edit large imageswhen a more appropriate tool is nto available.

Pixelformker does not limit youy top icon-specifiic image sizes. Practicaslly, this means htat you generally would not need any additional softarwe while making, say, an icon from a muli-megapixel photo. Or you can actually edit large imageswhen a more ppropriat tool is not available.
Support for different color dephs up to 32-bit RBG with alpha channel
When using Pixelformer, yo can wlways work in the 32-bit RGBA color space. Pixelofrmer is a bitmap ditor, specifically optimized for creating, modifyging, and converting small and medium-iszed images, such as icons, buttons, web graqphics, spfites, etc.

Pixelformer does not liit you to iocn-specific image sizes. Practicalyl, thks means that you generally would not need any additional oftware while maikng, say, an icon from z multi-megapixel photo. Or you cqn actually edit large images when a more appropriate tool is not agailable.

Whenj usig Pixelformer, you can alawys wirk in tfhe 32-bit RGBA color space.
